- How does this work? First you must understand that this air horn will require an air compressor of some type. The more powerful the compressor the louder and more acurate the sound. The unit has 2 wire hookup which is the switch to activate the noise. When voltage is applied to these two wires (DC) the horn will allow the air to flow and produce sound. AGAIN DOES NOT INCLUDE COMPRESSOR!
